Sam embarked on a professional singing career at age 18. He’s performed as a soloist with renowned Texas orchestras like the Las Colinas Symphony, been a featured singer for the prestigious Van Cliburn Concert Series, and played diverse roles at theaters across North Texas and Oklahoma. While pursuing a professional singing career and a master’s degree in music therapy, Sam taught private voice lessons for several area schools, including Booker T. Washington High School for the Visual and Performing Arts in Dallas, and Carroll Senior High School in Southlake. He completed his music therapy training at MusicWorx of California in San Diego, working with world-renowned music therapist Barbara Reuer. Sam founded Metroplex Music Therapy in 2009. He holds a degree in Vocal Performance from Southern Methodist University, as well as a Master of Arts in Music Therapy from Texas Woman’s University.
